Small box built into the middle of the grid
Instructions:
Players dribble around the outside of the grid, looking for open space and using bigger touches - no dribbling in circles!
On coach's command, players then enter the smaller box and continue dribbling, using smaller touches and close control
Players then exit the small box on coach's command.
Introduce skill move(s) which players must use when:
-entering or exiting one of the boxes
-they come head on with another player in the bigger box
Can split players into 2 teams to accomodate numbers
-one team dribbles in small box, the other in large box
-on command, teams switch boxes
Coaching Points:
Big Box: -Penetrate open space, take bigger touches allowed by more room (Ronaldo)
Small box : -Close control with the ball, more touches to keep possession (Messi)
Head and eyes up at all times to avoid collisions.

PUG Goal set up in the middle
Instructions:
Player A begins dribbling out towards the PUG Goal (Messi)
As they approach the goal, they perform the specific skill move as if it were a defender
Player A then makes eye contact with player B, who can begin the exercise
Player A drives towards the end line (Ronaldo) and prepares to go again
Coaching Points:
Controlled approach driving at defender's front foot.
Timing / Exaggeration of move - just outside tackling radius / shoulder, knee, eyes
Body shape - low centre of gravity
Eyes up, identify space/pressure, change of speed, appropriate angle taken for next movement
Progressions:
Play with 1 ball and players pass after performing skill move
Remove PUG, players perform move on each other - passive defending

Defenders in Blue, Attackers in White
Instructions:
Defender (blue) passes to attacker (white).
Attacker scores by passing into goals or dribbling through gates
Defender scores by stealing ball and scoring
Players switch lines
First player to 10 wins, switch fields.
