How/When to shoot. Emphasis on driven shot.
Organization:
-Groups of 3 or 4 players.
-2 players on the end and 2 players working in the middle.
-20x10yd area.
Instructions:
-Players on the end pass to the players in the middle.
-Middle players receive the ball and pass to the other end.
-Work for 1 minute than switch places.
Coaching Points:
1. Proper technique of driving the ball.
2. Strike the ball using proper surface and body shape.
3.Accuracy of passes.
4. Head up, look where you are passing.
5. Check back to receive the ball.
Regression:
-Ball on the ground, shoot using inside of foot.
Organization:
-4 lines, 1 at each goal post, 1 about 25yd out from each post (as seen).
-Balls on both posts.
Instructions:
Option 1:
-Lines pass diagonal across the box to the other line.
-First player runs onto the ball and shoots before the penalty spot.
-Then next line goes.
-Players switch lines.
Option 2:
-Same rotation as previous.
-Players now start 35yds from goal.
-Strike the ball before the 18yd box.
Coaching Points:
1. Head up to see the goal.
2. Angle of approach, don't wait in the ball.
3. Technique of shooting.
4. Aim low, far post when possible.
Progressions:
-PUGG goals on both sides of the goal. Encourage placing shot in the corner.
-2 points for PUGG goal, 1 for regular goal.
-First team to 10 wins.
-Can add a keeper if there is one at practice.
Organization:
-30x30yd grid.
-3 lines (2 on each side of goal and 1 30yd out.
-Regular goal if possible.
Instructions:
-First player passes a ball that attacker must hit from 15-20yds away from goal.
-Continues run forward and receives a second ball 8-10yds from goal.
-Must place that ball outside the red cones.
-Rotate counter to the clock.

Progressions:
-Knock out round.
