Warm up

"Y" Drill - Players can begin with dribbling and prgress to passing.

- this exercise is a passing and moving focus.

- Points to be made are:

1. Crisp pass "Punch the pass in"

2. follow your pass

3. receive your pass with back foot

4. Pass and Move!

Progression:

1. Short-short-long

2.1-2 pass (wall pass) after each pass

5v2 - Focus is on the players in white.

- players in the middle defend with pennie in hand

- If player wins the ball, he/she drops their pennie and replaces player on the outside (encourage a quick restart while player is picking up thier pennie)

- Unlimited touch - If it becomes to easy go to 2 touch

Focus Points:

1. Open up and keep the ball moving

2. Play the way you face

3. slow to fast - fast to slow

4. show support for every pass

5. first touch sets you up for your next pass

Blue and white looks to combine and pass to the target player outside the playing area.

- player that passes to target must replace the target player and target player joins the grid as a active player.

- Encourage short passes and long passes.

- Movement and support after each pass.
