Set-Up per box: 6 cones, 2 balls.
Cones are 12 yards length & 15 yards width. 6-8 players per group.
First player in line plays a pass to middle player who turns and plays ball to next player in opposite line. Receiving player in opposite line can move along their end line to receive the ball in proper space.
All players follow their pass to the next line/position.
Progression:
1. Inside Left
2. Inside Right
3. Outside Right
4. Give & Go
5. Drop and Switch
Same set-up as previous drill. Only 1 ball per group.
Ball is played from player 1 to player 2. At this time player 3 checks into middle so ball may be dropped from player 2. Player 1 makes an overlapping run of player 2 and receives pass from player 3. Player 4 may move along the line to get in proper supporting space to receive ball.
Play continues in opposite direction.
Player progression: 1 becomes 2. 2 becomes 3. 3 moves to back of line 1. 4 starts sequence the other way.
Coaching Points: Proper weight of pass, communication (verbal & non-verbal), movement off the ball
Same set-up to previous drill.
Player 1 plays ball to player 2 diagonally, & then checks into space to support player 2. Player 3 plays a square pass to player 2 who drops ball back to player 1.
Once player 2 drops ball to player 1, player 2 makes movement around cone and receives through ball from player 1. Player 2 then passes to player 4. Sequence starts over with Player 4.
Player Progression. Player 1 to Player 2, Player 2 to end of Player 4 line. Next sequence Player 4 to player 3, player 3 to end of Player 1 line.
