A session designed to teach players how to keep the ball and how to keep triangulation to support quality possession.
Description
3 players in a square, 1 ball. Begin with players passing and moving freely, two-touch. Progress to players taking a side of the square each and leaving one side free. Once they pass, they must move to the free side at speed.
Key Points
- Head Up
- Quality First Touch
- Communication
- Move immediately after pass
- Never stop moving
Description
Players now take a corner of square each. After every pass, there should be a player to the right of the ball and the left of the ball, with the diagonal corner free. This teaches the player that is NOT involved in the initial pass to quickly move at speed to get to the correct position to support the ball in triangulation.
Key Points

- Constant Movement
- Recognize the need to move
- Timing of Run
- Body shape to receive after movement
Description
