Small sided Activity
Pattern play into cross/finish. Two grids at the same time
A-B-A-C then switch. A-B-C give and go with A into cross, switch
Cp's-Game like speed, sharp passing,moving, receiving and serving. Cross the ball with a purpose, timing of your runs.
Crossing & Finishing Sm Sided Game (15 min)
Set Up: 6 v 6 on 40 x 50 grid. Neutral Players in channels. 3 min or 2 goals.
Restrictions: Goals must come off crosses from neutral players. Neutrals limited to two touch.
Variation: Double points for quick goals off transition.
Coaching Points: Crossing players - angle approach to the ball when crossing to get hips/shoulders to target, wrap foot around the ball, target the area between the 6 and the pen mark. Attacking players- attack the ball, see the ball, head the ball down towards goal
Expanded Small Sided Game (15 min)
6 v 6 ea 2 min or two goals switch, ball starts with keeper
Restrictions: 5 connected passes before shooting. Double points for goals off crosses.
Coaching Points: Movement off the ball, move the ball quickly, look for penetrating balls into the attacking 1/3
