Wall Pass Combination Play
Objective: Improve ability to recognize and execute wall pass
Equipment: 20 cones, 14 balls, 7 yellow bibs, 10 orange bibs, 1 blue bib
Set Up: 5 groups of 3 moving and passing in unrestricted space
Demonstrate wall pass & options.
Coaching Points: Commit defender, support player gives good angle for pass, weight of 1st pass, player accelerates through
4 v 4 + NP Wall Pass (15 min)
Set Up: Yellow play to goal, orange play to targets. NP creates 2 v 1 situation for team in possesion. Goals count as double after wall pass. 18 is the offside line
Coaching Points: Speed of play, angles of support, weight of passes
7 v 7 Wall Passing to Penetrate (15 min)
Set Up: Expanded Small Sided Game. OSL (Off Side Line) set up to encourage quick return balls before runner receives offside. Double goals off wall pass. Connect 5 passes before shooting, reset when ball leave restricted area.
