One Goal Practical Assesment

All 4 games are meant to be short, fun and high energy to match the attention span of the children. Each game can be tweaked as the session is moving on to match the children’s interest/focus on the session.

Warm up/Acitvator.

Warm up/Activator.

Children start with no ball while they learn the game.

To Begin

Blue, they have to run to the blue corner. Red, red corner and so on.

When they understand the basic game, give them a ball to carry so they are used to having a ball with them.

Next 

When they travel to the specified area they must do so in a particular way i.e. Hoping/Skipping/Moving as slow as they can.

Finally

Do the full game but using the ball properly with feet.

Zoo Game

Zoo Game

Children start with no ball while they learn the game.

To Begin 

Children run around avoiding the cones. When the children are asked to freeze, they are asked what noises and actions various animals makes. The whole group then does this noise/action before moving on.

When the coach stops the children and says in this zoo there is a lion they must run to a cone before the coach tags them.

Next

Give them a ball to carry.

Finally

Do the game but using the ball with there feet.

Sponge Bob Square Pants

Children start with no ball while they learn the game.

Children Must get from the Pineapple House (A) to the Chum Bucket (B) without touching any of the cones in the middle or get tagged by Plankton (Coach or children who have been caught) If the children touch a cone or get tagged they become Plankton and go into the middle.

Next 

At first there is only passive pressure from the coach, as they learn the game this pressure increases, also the children will now be carrying the ball.

Finally

The children now understand the game so an use the ball fully with there feet and no hands.

Goal

Goal!

Two Teams must start at opposite ends from there goals.

When coach says go they must run and score in their goal as fast as they can, once they have scored they must get there ball and get back to there line. First team back wins.

If the children are not confident with running with the ball they an carry and throw the ball into the net.

Next 

They can only get to the goal by walking with the ball, skipping, jumping etc.

Finally 

They can only score using the feet.
