Organization:

Same as previous

Instructions:

Same set up but now the coach is looking for more specific movements based upon session topic.

Coaching Points:

1. Step into ball to get bigger roll

1 ball and cone per player.

Instructions:

Coach in the middle of the area leading the rhythmic warm up, players look to touch the ball in time with the rhythm the coach sets.

Coaching Points:

1. Rhythm and co-ordination of movements

2. Movement of hips

Organization:

Players play in pairs around 4 cones. Both players have balls.

Instructions:

Aim of game is for the attacker to cross either end (orange) line before the defender crosses either nearer (red) line. The attacker always choices which line to cross, the defenders job is to stay as close as possible to the attacker.

Coaching Points:

1. Recognition of defender

2. Use of roll to face defender

3. Use of roll stop to fake out defender and change direction

Progressions:

Defender doesn't have ball

1 vs 1 conditioned game

Organization:

Players split in half, 2 cones where teams start and 1 end zone. Each players has a ball.

Instructions:

Teams take it in turns to try and score (stopping ball in end zone) as soon as ball goes out opposition team attacks. After you attack you defend, after you defend you get the ball and go back to your team.

Coaching Points:

1. Recognition of defender (speed of approach)

2. Choice based of this

3. Quick transition

Progressions:

3v3 Tournement

Instructions: Free play Tournement

Coaching Points:

- 3 Lines of attack, Defender, Midfield, Striker (make sure players roatate.

-Create as much space for player in possession

-Try to create a triangle at all to give good angle of support.

- Turn into space

- Appropriate turn to protect or change direction
