Part 1
The course is made up of six pairs of parallel cones, approximately 6 yards apart. Two players start at
the same time from the first pair of cones, jog along the inside of the cones and do the various exercises on the way. After the last cone, they run back along the outside. On the way back, speed
can be increased progressively as players warm up.
1. Jog through 5 times
2. Hip out (groin movement) - 2 sets
3. Hip in (groin movement) - 2 sets
4. Circle partner - 2 sets
5. Jumping with shoulder contact - 2 sets
6. Quick forward and backwards sprints - 2 sets
Set up:
Using the box area. Set up corner flag as goal about 10 yards outside the box. We want enough area to allow for simple passing options but far enough that the scoring area isn't going to be too tight.
Balls are put in the goals so game can restart quickly.
2 teams of 8 players (or less if necessary) + goalkeepers.
How It Works:
4 v 4 in middle hand passing. Team in possession needs to get ball to one of the support players (2 by goal and 2 wide). Support players cannot be attacked. Support players throw ball in box for finish to one of their teammates.Goal can only be scored off server pass.
Rotate groups after 3-4 minutes. If only 12 players, then can have only 2 support players.
Progression:
Players on inside use their feet to make pases but servers pick up ball and throw cross with hands.
Progression 2:
Players have to call out cone coach is holding before receiving (encourage shoulder checking).
Keys:
1. Players have determination to score (not just making slow runs into box).
2. Players delay/time their runs into scoring area (just before 6 yard box) until cross is ready to be played.
3. Attack the ball as it comes in.
4. Aim low (head down) and use inside of foot most times on finish.
5. Communication between attackers.
6. Attack different areas to score (one player front post, the other back post and another for cut back option).
Set up:
A. Players are pairs around the field working on aireal skill.
B. Players are 2 lines12 yards from the box; with another set of cones further out wide, 2-3 yards from the box. The majority of balls are with crossers on side of field.
How It Works:
A. Players are in pairs, one players serves ball with hands and partner returns with skills below. They are working on the following skill (30 seconds a skill):
Inside of foot return
Laces retun
Thing Receive, pass
Chest Receive, pass
Head back (encourage players to head down)
Players work on long/air passes back and forth using the skills practiced to take the ball down.
B. Player in line passes to target as target comes inside and towards ball. Target players lay off then move into box to attack cross.
Front post: Go away from goal then cut in so can get there quickly.
Far post: Curve run so that the attacker is able to cut off crosses played behind front post and also be able to attack over hit crosses.
Rotate players as desired. Attackers on cross must return ball if missed to servers before going to back of line. If they score than goalkeeper does it.
NOTE: Crosser is not involved in build up so that we ensure good crosses are played in for attackers. Notice how we have right footed crossers no left side, this will be an easier cross then the left footed cross. Crossers will have the chance to work on crosses of passes in the final game.

Set up:
Using the box area. Set up corner flag 18 yards from box so length is 36 yards. The increase in space will make it easier for crosses to be excuted.
Balls are put in the goals so game can restart quickly.
2 teams of 8 players (or less if necessary) + goalkeepers.
How It Works:
4 v 4 in middle playing with feet. Goals can only be scored from servers crosses (rebounds of crosses are good goals). Support players cannot be attacked. Support players have 2 touches.
